Energy yield (with white decorative panels): 19,000 kWh per year
Efficient use of vertical space
132 solar panels are being installed on the south facade of De Windhond. This is a unique solution for the facade renovation, which will also be used to generate energy for maximum self-consumption. This sustainability upgrade will reduce the tenants' service charges!
The 58 apartments in the De Windhond building will be made more sustainable in 2024 and will each receive their own heat pump and ventilation system. Solar panels will also be installed on the roof, which will be connected individually to each apartment.
Following the sustainability upgrade, De Windhond is the first existing Antares residential building that is completely gas-free and immediately meets the government requirement that all housing association homes must be carbon neutral by 2050.
